Documentation reviewed October 9, 2026. Local Wi-Fi must remain available during an internet outage. Use the hardware-matched firmware offered in the Tapo app; no universal minimum version is claimed. Plug-in device: neutral-wire installation does not apply. Optional dimming and energy-monitoring values remain unverified. Schedules, countdown timers, Away Mode and compact design are documented for the Tapo product/app. These app options do not establish their exposure through the Home Assistant HomeKit Device path. P125 and the Matter-enabled P125M remain separate products. US maximum-load specification: 15 A and 1800 W at 120 V for general-use/resistive loads; the separate motor limit is 1/6 HP. Appliance-specific limits can be lower. Follow the exact unit documentation.
